The work of Alfredo Häberli incorporates many fields of design, brought together by his curious nature, innovative ideas and smooth, refined style. Häberli was born in Buenos Aires in 1964 and trained as a designer in Zürich, where he is now based. As one of the most charismatic designers today, he merges tradition and innovative techniques to create energetic designs that are both nostalgic and novel. In 2008, he was honoured with an extensive retrospective of his work at the Museum für Gestaltung of Zurich and has worked with world-renowned companies, including Iitala, Volvo, BMW, Vitra, Georg Jensen, Kvadrat, Alias, Moroso, Driade, Cappellini, Luceplan, Camper, and, of course, BD.
