Cristian Zuzunaga is an atypical designer influenced by graphic art and geometric forms.
Cristian Zuzunaga was born in Barcelona in 1978, lived in London for over a decade and is now based in Bristol. His internationally recognised and awarded practice is informed by his interest in biology and technology and his Typo/Graphic Design studies.
His visual narrative centres around geometric shapes and a recurring use of the pixel. The motif explores themes of belonging and connection, examining uniqueness and the power of diversity through repetition and printing.
Zuzunaga’s sense of architecture is informed by Eastern and Western philosophies and is placed in urban environments. It is highly idiosyncratic, and his body of work distils his world into an expressive form ranging from sculpture, photography, textiles, typography, printing and furniture design.
