Lluís Clotet had a daring like no other. He shifted Barcelona’s contemporary architecture and design scene with a poised eye and a creative mind. He was a founding partner of BD, and his refreshing and iconic structures are modern, influential, and highly refined.
Lluís Clotet was born in Barcelona in 1941, studied and later taught architecture at Barcelona’s Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, and founded Studio PER in 1964. Alongside architects Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici and Oscar Tusquets, he worked on numerous projects for BD until 1983, authoring iconic and award-winning designs. In 1989 he founded Clotet, Paricio & Assoc. with Ignacio Paricio Ansúategui, and continues to design and teach today.
