One of the most charismatic designers of the new century, Häberli was born in Buenos Aires in 1964 and trained as a designer in Zürich. In 2008, he was honoured with an extensive retrospective of his work at the Museum für Gestaltung of Zurich, motivated partly by the decision to base himself in Switzerland. From there he has worked for leading Scandinavian and European companies including Iitala, Volvo, Kvadrat, Alias, Moroso, Driade, Cappellini, Luceplan, Camper, and, of course, BD.
In 2001, we launched a collection of bar furniture christened Happy Hour, followed with the ADI FAD Golden Delta Prize award-winning Los Bancos Suizos (The Swiss Benches). A tribute to the Banco Catalano (Catalan Bench), designed in 1974 by Oscar Tusquets and Lluís Clotet, was also produced by BD.
