The journey of Otto Calalda to becoming a successful designer brought him into the manufacturing facilities of his client companies.

Otto Canalda (Barcelona, 1977) is a graduate of Barcelona’s Elisava School of Design. After completing his studies there he joined the new BD product development department Barcelona Design, where he worked closely with its creative director Ramon Úbeda. The collaboration resulted in some of the company’s most successful projects, including Inout as well as the Binary stool, designed in collaboration with Dr. Jordi Badia.
