Antoni Gaudí is globally admired beyond the realm of architecture, entering into pieces like the Calvet armchair. Designed in 1900-1901 for the Calvet House in Barcelona, the oak armchair is handcrafted the same way it was in Gaudi’s time. Five pieces are fitted together to form the thick neck, arched handles and heartshaped backrest of the carving body that explores Gaudi’s unique artistry and expressive force.
The chair is numbered and accompanied by a certificate signed by the director of the Gaudí Cathedra, certifying that it is a faithful and exact reproduction of the original designed by Antoni Gaudí.
Equipped with quality and history, the Calvet armchair is not without style.
